For those students who have been selected to represent St Francis of Assisi School at the North Zone Athletics. The Athletics will be held at Rawhiti Domain on Wednesday 8 November. The postponement date is Thursday 9 November.
The start times will be as follows:
9:30am - Girls’ Track & Boys’ Field
11:30am - Girls’ Field & Boys’ Track

North Zone Athletics Programme of Events - please be aware this can run ahead or behind schedule on the day
Everyone will be traveling by bus to this event and most students will travel back to school by bus, however, those students who are only competing in one or two events in the morning will be taken back to school via the school van after their event/s. Students need to be at school by 8.00am as the bus will be leaving school at 8.15am and we will not be able to wait for students who are late. We aim to have all students back to school by 2.45pm, if we are running late we will notify you via facebook and the school app.
Children are expected to come to school dressed in their correct PE uniform and sensible footwear. Children can compete in spiked shoes, bare feet or running shoes. Please note the information around spikes in the Primary Sports Canterbury Athletics Information at the link above. Hats are compulsory and although we will have some sunscreen available we would appreciate if you could apply sunscreen to your children before school. They will need a larger lunch than usual and a named water bottle.
We require parent/whānau assistance on the day, and at least one helper to volunteer to assist on the discus event. If you are a parent of a student that is going and are able to help in this capacity please indicate this in the following Google Form, we thank you in advance for your support with this.
